Again, I am especially impressed with the small tom grain pattern and the stain job you performed on it. The same goes for the bass, but I can't see much of the FT from the angle of the camera's lens.

Another thank you for identifying the inlay color, still think it was a great choice despite the fact that you had it left over from a previous wrap and put it to good use here to coordinate beautifully with your stain.

Funny thing it was on these shells previously. The wrap bubbled after a couple of years, I think due to a reaction to the glue.

Great shots, thanks. The FT's wood grain looks very interesting and better than I expected. I was expecting a pattern like a butcher block, but the FT's pattern looks more like it was originally intended to be stained. It looks like from one piece of veneer instead of bands of narrower pieces.

Now that the leaves here in NY are in the early stages of changing colors and falling, the root beer pearl has a resemblance (at least in the photo) to brown leaves on the ground. Sorry to hear that it bubbled on you, but I think 'you made lemonade out of lemons' by finishing the drums in a stain that shows off the natural grain.

Just enlarged the FT picture before posting this and the grain reminded me a bit of a lava lamp the way the grain patterns are to the left and right sides.
