Is there anyone that can restore/re-engrave the "Sligerland Radio King" on the drum hoop? In the process of having the lugs & brackets re-plated, I forgot to instruct the plating guys to ONLY POLISH the hoops. Well, if you have'nt already guessed what happened, when the old chrome was stripped for replating, the logo engraving disappeared with it!
Also, can anyone tell me what was the period correct hardware used to attach the the 3 point strainer & guide plates? The stuff I removed is #4 slotted pan head machine screws. I need to know if the screws & nuts & washers are susposed to be plated nickel or chrome, stainless or what? I want to replace or replate the hardware with period correct components.
Here are some pics of the disassembly & hardware that came from the drum. The lock washers are #6 which are a little too big for the screws.
Big thanks to any one who can lend this newbie a hand!
