I have a 14'' Krut, the only way i use it, is on top of a 16''Zyn. The combination of both, somehow, is almost like a china type sound with a VERY short resonance. Not bad to my ear.

Just bought some Krut Special 6 inch hand cymbals for $25 off e-bay!

Not holding out for anything special but they will make OK accent cymbals as that is what I use my 12 inch Zyn hi-hats for.

Will be interesting to see if they are B10 like the Zyn standard stamped cymbals from the same era.

The leather straps will be put to use restraining the wife! ;0)

This Krut produces an inexplicable crash/ride/chinese/pang hybrid that is just unexplainable. It sounds both pretty & pretty evil! I have yet to try it with rivets, which I'm sure would dry it out somewhat and make it more "ride-able".

Don't know much about kruts I might possibly have played on one on someone else's drums years and years ago, and I've heard the super zyns are good. Might even have had them on first kit, I definately know my 1st hi- hats were at least the zyn ones. I was green about drums back then!

I love the jazz era

I have a set (10/14 hats/16/18/20/22) that I use with my crown MIJ kit. I also use a 14 & 15 w/rivets with my roto kit. I was using a pair of 13 hats but couldn't get enough volume out of them. The 20 is a **** of a ride but fantastic crash and the 22 is my favorite ride. I love the trashy sound of these things.
