Poppy - Looking really good. I'm waiting for hoops to dry today also, last leg of the blue sparkle kit I'm working on.
I will post a couple of pics later of my grommet tools.

Ok guys here's some pics of the bass and tom toms and cymbals.
The floor tom is all wrapped and back together and I havent wraped the snare yet. I have some rims for the ft comming and some lugs for the snare comming from drummaker. The snare didnt have lugs. it had long tension rods and nuts on the bottom rim. So i decided to put lugs on it.
LQQK
I'm digging the heck out of that kit...too cool. :)
Grommet Tools -
The small one I got out of a cheap ($8) little grommet kit at Lowes for tarps...works great, I align and tape the puck piece to the shell side of the grommet, put the part with the nub on the inside and give it a few wacks with a small hammer and bada bing, a perfect rolled grommet.
The second is an Osbourne grommet tool, it works well too for a little larger grommet.
I actually have a third one that I also got in a grommet kit that's a little smaller for Gretsch badges.
I have all the cs osbourne grommet setting tools at the shop, along with numerous other tools from cs osbourne. They make a whole catalog of upholstery tools. i have tried the osbourne tool on drum gormmets and i got a lil tool from jammin sams, but the best I have tried is the one from kentucky drums on ebay. It works perfect. We use grommets often down at my shop.

the lil squeeler sounds killer! The 16" zildjain has a decent bell and the sabian splash is perfect! All i really lack is hi hats check it out
Looks sweet - I hope that kid appreciates the work that went into this kit. I'm also liking the wrap. Looks way better than you'd expect it to, for the money.
Can't wait to see the finished kit w/matching snare and the hi hats.
Great job Poppy!!
The orange mod sparkle would look killer on the lil squealer with the black rims n lugs. I may put a temporary wrap on it.
I have decided to make the lil squealer the snare to this kit, in it's current elegant finish. I have no other use for it and its a killer lil snare.
The oft rumored but rarely seen 5-lug kick drum photographed in captivity!!!
Nice job Poppy!!!!
