A while back I bought a 20" floor tom from the 60's that was wrapped in psychedelic red and was in shambles. Someone had attempted to drill it for spurs and a bass mount and failed miserably. Long story short, I only got enough wrap to do a 5x14 snare. The wrap was pretty beat up, lots of scratches and nicks. The piece I got ready was hole free and it will be done shortly. I'll admit, it did not turn out as I had hoped but I still think it's going to be a cool piece. I decided to use some hardware that was pretty roughed up so the whole thing would look the same, USED! You can see in the last pic that the lugs shined up nice, there hiding in the back ;) I think it's going to be a cool piece, not a 2-3K museum piece, but a snare that would look great and you could gig it and not feel bad. Here are some pics!
