Thanks for all the kind words. I knew the drums were Kent by the lugs. The wrap was a surprise. I spent several hours scraping glue residue off the wrap while being extremely careful not to cause damage. Ive got a tom and a bass drum to finish.
When I got these drums they were part of a 7 pc. kit all covered in the same carpet. Three drums were Kent and the rest were mis-matched MIJ drums.
Gee I do hope that wasn't vintage carpet on them and the vintage carpet dudes will be screaming Noooooooooooo~! Laughing H Kidding..........Great save the snare looks excellent!!
How 'bout a pic of the rest of the kit, a "before" if you will? The wrap is very cool and a nice job on your part!

I've already removed all of the hardware and the wonderful carpet. Now I need to remove all of the adhesive left on the wrap! This project is on the back burner. I need to get that Camco bass done first!
There's a bench full of good looking drums! Gotta' decide, "do I work on my Camco or the Kent"? You poor man!Mind Blowi
Excellent save my friend!! That is work to be proud of!!!

It's scary. The Rogers Fullertons I'm restoring had been stripped, covered in carpet and then drilled for Pearl fittings. I found myself wondering if all this had been done in a dungeon with chains on the walls . . . Eye Ball
Great resto btw. Excellent looking drum and quite a collection there,
If you ever need drums that are not too loud,I'll bet wrapping them with thick carpet would be the ticket!
