The fakes are good enough to fool the average cymbal buyer, but they are easy to spot if you've dealt with a lot of old K's.I did some comparison pics a while back of the fake vs real stamps. The most notable problem with the fake stamps is the "D" in "ZILDJIAN" looks more like an "O". The fakes also have strange, non-K looking bells, and a few have had some kind of faux patina applied. I've also seen a few on Boston Craigslist. But there's no doubt the 22" Intermediate Stamp in this thread is the real deal...the fakes are trying to replicate New Stamps. Thanks,Bill
HAHA thats great. I had one of them. The stupid thing cracked at the bell and we threw it out. I wouldn't take them for free!!!
