Just how rare and unusual is this Rogers kit? Last viewed: 4 days ago

I have a four piece Rogers kit in Black Onyx Wrap with a matching wood Dynasonic snare. I'd like feedback on how rare and unusual this kit is? Any and all feedback is appreciated!

I'm not a Rogers buy by any means... but they sure do look purdy!

What are the sizes and do you have any other info? S/N's etc?

The sizes are BD 14X22, Mounted Tom Tom 9X13, Floor Tom 16X16 and of course the Dyna in 5X14. I have photos of the paper tags but will have to resize the photos to post here so may take a day or two. I'm attempting to find out just how rare and unusual a matching dyna kit in Black Onyx is. I'd like to hear from someone who worked in a major City (Chicago, New York, Los Angeles for example) Drum Store during the 60s and 70s as to how many, if any of this particular color combination they saw come through the store.

Don't know if "rare's" the right word. The Dynasonic is what makes it a more select setup. Id make an offer if it were in my neck of the woods,

Chris, you have quite a line-up of vintage kits. Looks like a nice collection!

Is that the badge that leans back instead of sit`n level ? With a fastener on the bottom of the "g". It didn`t run long.

You have the definite beginnings of a great vintage collection. Hard to tell condition in the puny photo but they look very nice indeed.

There is a Rogers book in print that might have some of the info you're looking for. But being the '60's I bet there'll be differing opinions on count. The wrap is probably not on the rare side; but again, the Dyna increases the value of the entire kit. The snare alone I'd place in the 2-2.5K range - depending on condition or any other issues.

OK, hopefully these photos will assist in making better determinations. The snare throw-off lever is missing from the dyna, I've located a replacement for it though....
