Just few screws - NOT vintage

Hi!

Hope you guys can help me out. I have a RK tom shell and lugs, I also have the hoops and T-rods, but I don't have the screws to attach the lugs to the shell.

And the stores in the Czech republic usually carry only metric screws. So I need someone in the US to buy a bunch of intl. screws and send them to me. I will of course fully refund you in advance.

For RK lugs, they should be an 8-32s, and I need sixteen screws approximately one inch long and sixteen 3/4 inch long.

I don't need vintage screws - just any ones that will fit the RK beavertail lugs threading. If you could pick them up for me the next time you go by a hardware store, that'd be great.

Do you think you could do that for me?

Gilnar - I have original RK screws, I'll have to measure them for you. If I have enough of the right ones I'll post here and let you know. Give me a little time...

My place, a hardware store, and a post office form a triangle consisting of not too much walking distance. Pending it being even easier for someone else, or if they have the screws already lying around, I could do this for you sometime this week.

In return you must answer a question - why the 1/4" difference in lengths? :) Tops of the lugs hit the re-rings on the interior?

[edit] John posted while I was typing....see how that goes...

Take it away Mitch... If ever I can help one of the boys out, I always do. You can have the ball on this one. I responded because I like Gilnar and I wanted to 'give him' the screws and ask him to cover the shipping. I'll wait for another opportunity.

You're a good man for offering. It's all good karma bro.

Yes that's it exactly Mitch. Top screws go through the re-rings and need a longer screw. Grab a few extras of each for spares.

I have 8-32 slotted round head at 1". 30 screws shouldn't be more than a ten spot to ship.

I shipped 200 screws, 200 washers to Belgium. Fedex wanted 110.00 US dollars, USPS cost 20 something, I think.

Thank you!

You're a good forum member, Gilnar, you've made some friends here. That's why so many of the guys stepped up when you asked for some help finding the parts. If you can help, you do, that's what friends are for.
