It's 1 a.m. and I just finished scanning the 50 page catalog...

This is one interesting catalog which should fill some holes on the many early drums that people are trying to identify..

Well, here is the cover..

This is a very interesting catalog with lots of reading material. The best part is that around this time drums did not have lugs and they did not have 'drum sets', so your getting a sneak peak into early drum history.

Each snare drum has a nice text complement and there are a ton of snare drums in this catalog with the matching bass drums.

There is also a parts page which they call "Drum Trimmings"

It is a 50 page catalog, and I think it took about 4 hours from start to finish. There is no easy way to do this type of scanning and it is a slow process, one wrong move and you might rip out a page or remove the cover.

This catalogs cover was held on by a string, which is still intact and holding..

Since I'm on the early catalog scanning mode, I've got 2 or 3 more pre 1920's catalogs, then I will start moving in to the 20's up to the 50's which will then put me in line with all of the work I did already for each of the drum makers on the home page.

Then, I go back to each company and fill in the blanks and add new material that is still yet to be completed..

Thanks for posting that catalogue. I just purchased an A.G.S Excelsior snare made in Philadelphia and had no idea how the original lug system would have worked as those parts are missing. What a treat to find the drum in this catalogue page 7 "The Premier Snare". Not sure what my next move will be, but it gives me something to go on.
