It is a painted black snare 5x14 with a white paint interior finish. 6 lug design and looks like they're might have been a round badge on it. It also has a internal dampener and reinforcing rings. I got it quite a few years ago from an antique store for cheap and they didnt really know much about it. The strainer has is done with a rod or lever to one side but is missing and has a big wheel on the front.

White paint and re-rings makes me think Ludwig and not Gretsch. Gretsch had gray painted interiors and no re-rings.

Which way does the inside woodgrain run? American drum companies always ran their grain "around" the drum. The imports usually ran head to head.
