Where's the rust? Shell? Hoops? Rods? Throwoff?
And because construction & materials varied over the decades, what kind of drum -- approximate age and model/description? (If you're unsure of the drum's age, try comparing its badge to DrCJW's timeline.)
On the lugs and some on hoop. will this work ?
I have had success with NevrDull as a polish, but not as a rust remover. I used Whink Rust Stain Remover and also Krud Kutter's Must for Rust on my throw and tension rods. Whink did a better job, but it's not biodegradable. I also had to use rubber gloves, a shallow bowl, steel wool and a toothbrush for the cleaning.
Nevr Dull works very well on removing rust from lugs, hoops, tension rods. I use it all the time. Its fantastik!!!!!
I am also a big fan of Nevr Dull.
