Just wondered if anyone here could point me in the right direction of where I can obtain just the replacement screw section that is used to raise/lower an internal drum dampner (like the type shown in image below)? Alternatively, is there anything out there that's commonly available that has been found to make a suitable stand-in?

The entire internal tone control (dampener, muffler) mechanism is not very expensive. You can find them on eBay ranging from the cheapo new or used import drum part or very expensive part for specific vintage drums. Most music stores with a decent drum department probably have generic new ones from Gibralter or other suppliers. just a minute ago, I went on the eBay site. The first page for "internal drum mufflers" showed complete units for as little as $4.99 for the cheap generic type to $133.00 for a complete vintage tone control.
No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
