HI guys, I've got a couple of Slingy bass spur mounts that are stripped
and I'm looking to repair them with Helicoils.
Does anyone know what threads they are, 1/4" AF?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Stevo.

Great Steve.
Gotta say, I've never done it, but would have read it on here some time in the past and dumped it into the memory bank..
(probably on one of PopsOldSkins Posts)....:)
Good on you Stevo.
The hardest part of using the coils is how to cut off the extra coil that
sticks threw the hole.

I've done a few heli coils but only one on a drum. A '60's Slingy FT about a month ago; if you give it a sharp twist with the installation tool as if you're trying to remove the coil, the tab will snap off clean. Great invention!
