]I saw a friends band play last night, all five members were wearing in-ears and they all swore by them. There were no stage monitors, but there were three guitar and bass amps.

I remember in-ears were all the rage a few years ago, pratically every vocalist I saw on tv had those little wires wrapped around their ears. But, lately I don't see many big name bands or vocalist using them.

I find it strange how little bar bands seem to like them, yet the big guys are going back or are still using floor monitors.

Here's a good example, notice all the monitors, not to mention the cool Ludwig kit.
