Going through season 3 there is an episode where Chris is playing this wmp. Not sure what happened to his usual Ludwig blue Standards.

Can anyone ID this? The bass is way too killer for sunshine pop!

I'm not sure about that particular set but in some episodes Chris (Jeremy or Brian) "plays" a MIJ set so it wasn't always the Blue Mist Ludwigs.

My guess is that this WMP set is another import. Possibly selected more for the small bass drum than any other reason. Other than stencil sets I've only seen those staggered lugs on Sonors and I don't think these are those. Not that it mattered anyway since Hal Blaine was doing the actual playing for the records.

Looks like an import, but stumped me as to which one. Trixon made longer / odd dimension bass drums and the staggered lugs on the toms looks like early '60s Trixon or Sonor, but I can't see how pointy they are. Snare looks a bit like Boosey and Hawkes / Ajax with that square badge, but I've never seen one with lugs like that. All those drums would be a decade old by the time this was shot anyway. As you can see, now I'm clutching at straws, but that can be fun.

IMO, Looks to be MAJESTIC DELUXE (by Star, I believe). Offset Lugs and snare badge are the clues.

While I don't go out of my way to watch this show (my memories of it are much better than the actual show was) I do happen upon episodes once in a while as I channel surf. The other day I say an episode with a red Slingerland set (or at least a MIJ set with Slingy-like lugs). Seems they changed up sets with some regularity.

When I was in fifth grade I loved this show (it was on in prime time then) and it had as much to do with me wanting to play the drums as did Ringo or anything else.

I was thinking majestic also....or at least something by star.

Loved this show, couldn't wait to get home after school to watch it.
