Identify snare drum by throwoff?

Loading...

Hello!

I am new to the Vintage drum forum. I'm very happy to find this forum.

I've found some drums for sale locally.

There is one photo of a snare and the owner doesn't know the make. I've been waiting for more pics.

Longshot... can anyone tell what make this drum might be by this photo?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a 6-lug beginner snare. An Old Westbury perhaps.

I looks CB-700 to me. If it is, $25 like that. They sold stand, case, snare for about a $100 back in the 80's.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Yah, CB700 or any of a bunch of no-name "Made-in-China" beginner snares. You can find tons of these for $20- $40 depending upon condition. That one looks pretty beat up. I've bought a few of these for my students who only owned practice pads. Fine as a practice drum, but even tuned up properly, I hate the tone.
