Can you guys please help me with this stamp?

It´s from a 19" beauty, weighing 1650grams. Perfect!

19" is quite rare, or..?

Two small cracks in the hole.

This cymbal is for sale.

What would be a fair price?

Thanks!

Very hard to say without more info, you have not even mentioned whether it's a crash or a ride. Also without seeing pics of the cracks it's impossible to know. For me once a cymbal is keyholed or cracked anywhere, it has lost all value. I would not give a dime for it. But that's just me, I know that some people are willing to overlook certain types of damage if it is not too severe.

But without more photos and more description, it would be hard to even venture a guess.

K Zildjian stamp is small and K is not big, so looks like Type 2a(1945-49) to me.

I'd say 30-40% of all K's have 2 small cracks in the bellhole,so not unusual.

I know i could sell them as fast as I got them years ago if I discounted $100+ for the cracks.

Yoshi is right, it's a Type 2a Old Stamp from the 40's. Is it 19" on the nose, or slightly over/under?

This 19" Type 2a 1648 grams just sold for $1500, seems like a good indicator of value: http://www.ebay.com/itm/K-Zildjian-Istanbul-19-Ride-Cymbal-Stamp-IIa-1646-5-grams-Vintage-Rare-/260886111005?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item3cbe06231d

It's probably a valuable cymbal. The market is not great at the moment, but if it's a good smoky sounding K you can probably get $700+.

Good luck...

I would start at $1000 no lower. That sold just the other week for $1500 the cymbal market didn't go down the toilet in a few weeks. I would imagine you could get almost 1500 with the cracks because it is such a rare find and if other people were bidding then chances are they are willing to pay for it. Throw it up see what happens! Just don't close the deal to quick.
