I think Zildjian may be starting to make cymbals again

This really is quite a remarkable cymbal. I have it in hand now.

Included in this cymbal are 15 separate hammering clusters on the back-side as well as an extensively and fairly heavily hammered front side much like an EAK. It has a generously sized bell which appears was pressed in and then extensively hammered.

So based on what I have observed and heard since I got this thing its a:

K. Constantinople Custom Hi-Bell Dark Complex Crash Ride Low.

....or KCCHBDCCRL.

I really don't expect this one to become a regular production model because of what MLVB had to say about these proto-types. And its obvious that they did a lot of extra things on this cymbal that they ordinarily wouldn't do on a regular production run.

So only one hydrogen and two double carbon chains? Interesting molecule. ;)

Also those hammering clusters are in the form of smaller more discreet groupings located at varying and seemingly random distances from the center, unlike what's been done previously. And there also appears to be no taper to the cymbal which is unlike any other modern Z, but is in keeping with the old K tradition.

Interesting,,,I was not aware of the taper of old K's as such.

Possibly toxic if too there's much exposure at one time. But in smaller doses, intoxicating.

Yes, mostly with the old stamps, but many of the new stamps too.
