I found Super Ludwig from 1923!

I think its in bad shape, I do not play drums or know about vintage drums, but I think it might have some value. I know ludwig is a popular brand, but I can't find anything on it. I have pictures if anyone wants to see-Leave your email here. I'm wondering what its worth as of now, and eventually looking to sell it.

I know its my first post, but I just googled "vintage drum forum" and you guys seemed like you are pretty knowledgable. I live in Oak Lawn, and I know Camco originated here. Just thought you'd like to know!

thanks for all the replies, if you're interested you can email me also at troybert5@gmail.com

I'm no expert, but from your photo that drum looks great and very salvageable to me unless the shell is badly damaged.

Anyone else see something different?

Just curious...how do you know it's a 1923?

Is that a wrap or is it "stipple gold"?

Are you sure that it says 1923...? or is it Pat. Pend. 1924 instead?

Yeah...I think it's worth a LOT more than $200. To the right collector, might be ten times that amount! I THINK it looks like a Ludwig finish called "Stipple gold" which was some kind of weird metallic paint that was supposed to resemble gold flake. Most examples of this stipple gold finish that I have seen are almost all worn off. But I can't really tell from that picture. Mike Curotto knows way more than I about this drum.
