i think you all might be missing the point here...I'm glad it wasn't video then it would be called drum ****.
I find this seller insulting.
With regard to the Trixon add, I don't see that ad as selling " sex " as much as it is these days. That ad has class to it, it makes you want to be part of the scene. Now a days it's as much skin as you can show without becoming ****ographic. But most of the modern ad's for drums I've seen since the main focus is on the actual drum, and not the model who can sell it.
I guess I see it this way - most musicians know what they want and how to get it. Most of us don't need to be " sold " on something, and many of us dislike when people try and " sell " us something we don't have any interest in. Where as the car market, music ( not instruments ) and the like the masses are into. You can easily convince a guy to buy a car based on he might succeed better in life if he rolls in luxury or class, you're not going to convince a drummer that a better set is going to make them play better or gain more success simply because of what they play. Artists don't work like that.
Not saying everyone who buys a car ( or anything ) is sold on a line, but there are reasons for good salesman. They can sell ice to an Eskimo. These guys know tricks to manipulate people into thinking they want something that they didn't think about before now. Artists, aren't like that. - Generally speaking. Always an exception to every rule -

Aww, point taken, but what about all the "young drummers", the guys just starting out. You know, the kid who thinks the more drums he has, the better drummer he is perceived to be. That's where drum shops get most of their business. Sell a ton of cheap kits to aspiring wannabe drummers. And what do teenage male drummers like more than drums?
It's really no different than the Trump campaign, all the free press he gets is due to the facts everybody is talking about it.
Much like this add, how many more searched for it based on 3 pages of the post just to see what we were talking about?
That's what it's all about today!
I say kudos to the seller!
.....and yes, the model is a bit mediocre, but who is looking at the face anyway?Laughing H
