My favorite tool in the shed. The Dremel. I love that thing. With all the attachments, it does everything, including fining down wood in awkward spots. Just put on the flexible attachment and the sanding drum and away you go. It has so many uses. Like the time the combination lock failed and my $3000 Macbook pro was chained to a table. The Dremel has these superfine cutting wheels and it sliced through that tiny t bar like a laser. In your case, I'd probably try a heatgun very gently first, protecting the wrap first and being really careful not to let it stay in one spot at all. Good luck.

HEAT

a hair dryer or heat gun for a few sec and it'll fall rite off.

don't heat so much that you undo your reapair.
