20" Caravan Old J 1864 grams. 1960s.

This is a weird one. The first Old J I've seen that isn't made of brass. Might be B10 or B8. It's some kind of bronze alloy. I have heard of others being made of B20. Never saw one though.

Really dark and dry, but still musical. Very flexible.

Oh, cool. Indeed, I used to have one from the early 70s that sounded great and that I wish I still had. It was 22", thin, dark and dry, and probably $10. Recorded well too.
