How do you like your jazzfestival snares tuned? Last viewed: 1 minute ago

From Purdie Shuffle

Justin - Crank the snare head (90 on the drum-dial) and then tune the batter to mid-range (75 -80 on the drum-dial.) Set the snare tension like this; engage the snares loose and then tighten them slowly, wait until you hear the snares kiss the bottom head and then add a little more tension - tweak it just a bit tighter. It should be all set-up perfectly for you.John

Pretty good settings here John, thanks! I had the bottom head cranked tighter than needed. Once I lowered it down to around 79-80 on the dial, the drum opened up and gave a little more depth and bottom end.
