Good morning guys,
I have noticed 100's of times when someone is asking for drum identifacation, that you guys can spot a non original rim in nothin' flat. I have restored several kits now and have replaced the originall rims with new a few times, but I alway keep the old rims. If I do ever sell one of my kits I would like to include the original rims to the buyer, or I may put them back on the kit they came off of. All my restored kits are Ludwig with the exception of my 60's Sonor tear drops, but those rims are very easy to identify, I also have a few slingy snares with the stick savers, which again are easy to identify. The luddys however have what looks to me like any other chrome rim. I have studied the drum hardware section on the forum already. maybe im just getting blind in my old age! Help2
