I am rewrapping three early 1960's Slingerland drums. They came to me with a poor rewrap job that was easy to remove from the shells. The wrap was probably easy to remove because the glue (rubber cement) was glopped on, and still not hardened. I am wide open to suggestions for the best methods to remove the glue. Mineral spirits?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I use JASCO in small amounts/spots an ink knife, and a wet and dry rag! Its time consuming and messy, but gets the job done well...
