Hope All Are Well!

Loading...

Things seem a little quiet around here lately, so I just wanted to say I hope everyone is faring as well as possible both health wise and financially through this crisis.

This is going to be a tough road for our country and the world and nobody knows where this virus will take us or where the bottom is financially or how we recover. We really are in unchartered territory. I know drums are pretty insignificant at a time like this, and maybe that's why it's a little quiet around here, but I just wanted to say I hope everyone in this little community stays well and is able to weather whatever comes our way. Prayers offered to all...

Hi JS!

Yes, a tough road ahead for all of us. What concerns me most is the widespread panic by the uniformed, who make it impossible for many of us to go to the stores to get just basic necessities like food. Forget about water and TP, many just need their basic day to day items.

Today is my 66th birthday and the government wants me to stay home because I'm over 65?!! I don't have any underlying medical issues that make me fear the coronavirus. I was supposed to meet a friend for lunch today, but I guess we'll have to get takeout!

My hope is that we all do our part with this pandemic. Help each other when necessary and, most of all, please don't panic and contribute to the hysteria that many people are bringing to this. We will get through this difficult time together.

Happy Birthday, Mark. You share a birthday with my wife!

Go have a nice lunch. Just don’t lick the table.

I agree that the uninformed really are creating hysteria where none is warranted. We’ll all get through this and, once on the other side, say “That really wasn’t a big deal.”

Hi Josh!

Very cool that your wife and I share the same birthday! Wish her a big "happy birthday" from me!

The Costco near me, in Azusa, was even on the news, showing the ridiculously long lines to get in. I was there less than a week ago to pick up a pair of glasses and the hysteria was already showing! My glasses had the wrong prescription and had to be re-ordered. They're in now, but there's no way I could even find parking to pick them up! Come on people, get a grip!

There's rumors circulating on social media that heat will kill the coronavirus, it says to blow a hair dryer in your nose and mouth and the government should supply them to everyone. This is getting insane.

Yes, happy birthday Mark (you young'un)! It's a great age. I remember it well given that I lived it just a year ago.

The information coming forth now in Florida, where the virus has not had a significant effect to date, is they want separation in order to flatten the curve of infection. That is, if less people are exposed, the rise in cases is likely to happen over a longer period of time and that would avoid overrunning the medical services industry (hospitals to whatever).

I think we can fairly say that they should have explained that before asking for the separation (shutting schools, shutting down sports, and other things). Those standing behind the President and representing our national healthcare departments should have made their intentions clear. Maybe some of you around the country heard this early. The first I heard of it was last evening and they began to elaborate on it this morning. As usual, if people have a good explanation, it tends to reduce the panic feature of our general nature. It just seems to have been mentioned later than it should have been. Overall though, they seem to be handling it reasonably well.

I too hope you all fair well during this event. Time to pull the hardware off that set you've been thinking about cleaning up?

Also, good luck with your move Mark. That is also not a pleasant task.

Happy Birthday.

I'm not too worried about all this virus...but more concerned with panic from the worriers. I've struggled with dilemmas all my life...I am a musician, after all. I've lived with some filthy stuff and dealt with plenty of infected environments. I never made the practical decisions in life.By all accounts, I should be dead, already...and yet, I'm not.

As soon as the lawn dries a bit, I'll be out pushing my mower around and doing everything I normally do. I hope I don't get sick, but there's already a million things out there that are coming for me the older I get....why focus on just one? lol! Why not worry all the time? Why?, (someone might ask).....Because I'd just be wasting my precious time until the inevitable comes, regardless. It's always been that way....Anything can happen at any time.

Live long and prosper

By the way....Why are people hoarding toilet paper? LOL! Is THAT'S what worries people -nt being able to wipe their a$$? LOL! Wow. Maybe people ought to change their diets....good lorrrrrd...
