The French one looks like a Capelle "Orange" -at least that's what I know them as. Supposed to be pretty nice hi hat pedal when it's set up properly.

I'd have to say the french one because it would be a "unique" item.

The Pearl stand is from mid 1970s on..The other stand is as O-Lugs states its from the 70's also made by Capelle A.K.A ''Orange" these stands are tricky if not set up right..Both are good stands i would go with the one that feels good to you playing it.. I would go for the Pearl one because Parts for the "orange" stand are very hard to fine if you can..Parts for the Pearl are very easy to get..Mikey

has anyone ever shipped a hi hat stand? and if so how much does it cost? i think i am going to keep my orange one. i would like to find the original sticker that went on the pedal. that stand works perfect its a little rusty but not bad, and fully functional and feels pretty cool. i think if i can find out what people have spent on shippin for the hi stands i might put it on e-bay. i am not sure yet or i might trade it for some ludy parts i am trying to rebuild my 70's bowling ball set and i am short alot of parts.

The Oranges were the rage in the late 70s.
