If you go to the drum guide, then Camco drum sets, then look at the 73 catalog you will see that HH stand. This is a strange mystery. When I worked at Charles Bean Music in St.Pete ,FL.we got in some new Powersonic drums. They were run of the mill MIT stencils, but included with the drums were a few bass pedals-they were EXACT Gretsch "Floating Action"-"Camco"reproductions!But,the footboards said"Powersonic".We need Mikey's help on this one-MIKEEEEEEEEY!

I think you just answered this one yourself dude. :) It's a Camco stand made for, most likely, a local music chain or regional distributor with the Powersonic name on it. Camco used to do that as well as Walberg & Auge. And we know for a fact that Camco made the Gretsch Floating Action pedal for years for Gretsch....same thing just on a slightly smaller scale.

Hey, work was work, right? :)

So is it safe to say that it is some kind of Camco even though it don`t have a base across the bottom or gromets on the poles to hook the wire stand into instead they go into the post it`self ?? The keys are round with no flats, the catalog ones have a flat. That`s three differences that I don`t see on the Camco one. Is it possible that it`s a copy of a Camco made in USA or the one that Camco copied ??

I just wanna be sure.

I have never had a single problem with it, it is the quietest thing eva, it has no play in it at all when pulling or returnning up, It is SOLID construction and very durrable. Every now and then put oil in the oil hole and grease on the chain. I like it alot.

I got some kinda information, I ran into a friend yesterday, showed him on his laptop the photos`, he said he has a Remo Hi Hat that is much newer 80`s late and it has the footbaoard connected to the poles like mine, not into a grommet welded onto the poles. His don`t have spurs but it looks very similar. The HH came with my set and the set also came with three Roto Toms, he said the guy prolly bought the two together. that was in the late 70s` and I don`t even remember the guys name let alone where to find him.

Does anyone here know anything about 70s` Remo HH stands ?? I didn`t even know that Remo made them !! I looked on line and can only find newer ones.
