This is a very nice kit are you the original owner of this kit? In the configuration the 16" floor tom is actually a detriment, normally the sizes would be 14x20,8x12,14x14, but your kit has a nice ludwig 400 snare drum the hardware and case bags all are very nice, Ron I just rad your post Holy !@#$ So Jeff Porcaro was your neighbor, you are aware of who he was aren't you? And I saw your not the original owner, if you can't get No less than $1200.00 somethings wrong, that is bottom dollar amount, more towards mid teens hopefully.

Yes, Jeff (RIP)and I were pretty good friends growing up together in Studio City California. We went to Jr. High and High School together. I have three brothers and the Porcaro boys and us were all buds.

Obviously, they went on to bigger and better things. I believe his Dad, Joe, lives not far from me now in Thousand Oaks and his brothers Mike and Steve are still active in the music industry in some capacity.

I acquired the kit from the original owner for some work I did for him.

Really happy to have found this site. I've spent the last day or so perusing through this place and it is fascinating! The reason I pulled those drums down for a look was to see if they were worth anything and maybe sell them. Now, I want to keep them and restore them. I don't think it would take much as they seem to be in very good condition. No rust or blemishes on the wrap that I can see. My son plays bass in a fairly successful rock band and he's adamant about me NOT selling them. Think I'm going to start closely inspecting and cleaning these bad boys up. My son said his band would love for me to set them up in their studio and let me start playing around on them. Not to mention the drummer in the band is a vintage fanatic and he would love to "tune'em up" and test drive them a bit. That would be fine with me. It's been many many years since I banged a drum. Once I start on the inspection and cleaning I'll be posting up for advice and direction.

Ron. this is music to my ears, so many people come on here to find the value and then sell them, I'm very happy of your decision, I think knock off the dust and dirt and grim, new heads, use either ludwig or remo heads possible the heads you have are still good! But you've made the right decision!!!

I would bet, by looking at the condition and total lack of pitting that the Supra is a COB. My money says you have a very desirable snare. A "b" would be stamped into the shell somewhere over the top of the muffler knob or strainer. Unless there is a blue and white paper label inside that reads Ludaloy, I would be almost certain it is. There is just no pitting on it.

Sweet kit, and good decision on keeping them and relearning your craft.

The snare is the first thing I plan on going over. I will photograph everything and post my progress as it happens.
