Here is the "Quotes from Drummers" Thread

It's not a quote from a famous person. We had just gotten our two sons a kit for Christmas and our youngest, about 8 years old at the time, said:

"Now I can play unspeakable beats!"

We still laugh about it.

Ringo Starr. First and foremost I am a drummer. After that, I'm other things... But I didn't play drums to make money.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

From Randy Castillo,,I'd just play 'til my hands fell off. My parents would yell at me to stop because they couldn't stand the noise any more! I was terrible! It must have been hard for them to listen to me as a beginning drummer.

A buddy rich one, i read it somewhere, a young kid was practicing at the drums In a shop, he said buddy walked in and stood and watched as he played and practiced, he was amazed that buddy took an interest, then buddy said: do you know what you get from doing that?, so the drummer said what?, buddy said tired. Because buddy said he never practiced, he just did it all when he played with his band, probably didn't have the time to either.

Phil Collins:

I'm not a Singer who plays a bit of drums. I'm a drummer that sings a bit.
