Help with this cymbal please.

Hi Guys.

I have a Zildjian cymbal that I recently got with a bunch of other drum related stuff and I would love to know more about it.

I have been viewing the posts on the borad trying to increase my knowledge of stamps and reading all the info that you guys give. I am getting a little better but am not confident enough yet in my assesment of various cymbals.

I would very much appreciate any help you can give me in dating the cymbal I have. I'm no to bothered if it's worth nothing but it would be nice to know an approximate value.

The cymbal measures aprox 12.3/4 inch (323mm) but I can'tgive you a weight yet till I get it on some digital scales. From my limited expreiance it has a very un-even lathing pattern. Pics attatched.

Many thanks guys.

Old K Constantinople.

Last stamp they made before "Istanbul" became part of the stamp.

Probably late 20s.

Looks to be in good shape. On ebay it would most likely fetch about $100-$200.

Hi jeremybranson,

Many thanks for that info, so what did the stamp change to after the one on my cymbal then?

Maybe you could tell me what the stamp on my cymbal should read. I can read "Zildjian&" what should it say after this? Obvoiusly this has worn off over time.

Also, what's the word under constantinople ?

I would like to see a good picture of this stamp if anyone has one to post or send me for refrance.

Thanks.
