I am setting out to restore a couple of my late fathers drum kits. I want to start with his mid 50's era Slingerland in BDP. oval brass stamped badge. I'm guessing at the year based on the badge on the snare and BD but help with a positive ID would be much appreciated. I'm no restoration pro and before I go monkey wild taking things apart I thought I'd ask you guys where to start. everthing is super dusty but intact. I'm not sure if this kit is or has the potential to be playable, to be honest this is a labor with sentimental value. The second set is a 60's Rogers in champagne sparkle but one thing at a time.

Best Regards

Pictures of the Slingerland kit will be the best way for someone here to help with what you have.. But you may find the kit at the following link if it is a complete packaged kit..

Cheers

John
