A 1966 Ludwig 16 x 16 I plan to sell. But now that I'm taking a closer look, I can't tell if it's Champagne, or Gold? Or something in between?
Check the photos...it looks different in different light. The 12" is from the 67 Champagne kit. Check out the album...thanks!

It is Champagne sparkle not gold sparkle.
champagne has different color sparkles in it. gold has only one color sparkle.

Hmmm. So the shade may vary some from year to year? Or -- more likely? - as one batch ran out and a new one started.
It sounds like the defining characteristic is the presence of 'different colored sparkles?'

Bill - LOL - It's the only way you -can- sell it! It's Champ sparkle that has aged/faded. Really nice drum too! Anybody looking to complete a kit is going to jump on it.
