Help ID'ing this Shell Finish. Is it Maple or Mahogany. Last viewed: 1 hour ago

This snare is listed as a maple shell but I think it looks like a mahogany shell.

I'd appreciate your opinions.

Love your drum....I have it's "little sister" !!

To expand on VTM2000's post....

There were three "student" models around this time.

The Student had eight lugs ....the Special Student and Deluxe Student both had six.

You could order the Student with StickSaver rims for a time.... I like the straight hoops and clips myself

Yes thanks for clarifying that Kevin, I was looking at a slingerland student with 6 lugs and went back to check the post and it does say deluxe..very nice snare you have
