Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum so I just wanted to say hi. I play professionally in the early 80s and being on the road gave me a great opportunity to visit old pawnshops, antique stores, whatever and try to collect vintage drums. One year I attended the Chicago drum show and being a kid I was talked into selling my collection. So it's time to start again. The only thing I really have left is the Leedy Alliance snare drum and a couple Gretch snare drums from the 60s. Well, I guess I'll check out the form. Hopefully I'll talk to their.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

NEVER too late to start over, and a few 60's snare drums is a great starting point... ...snares always seem to turn into whole kits.
