Hello to fellow drum enthusiasts! I'm new here and this is my first post and from what I have seen, this is a great site!
My questions have to do with a Ludwig Supra that I will take possession of next week. It was made in 1968, Ludalloy shell, P-83 strainer with a round knob muffler. The shell has some minor pitting from what I can see in the photos on Ebay, where I got this drum. The seller made no bones about it having some pitting which is to be expected on this old a drum.
When I get it, I will disassemble the drum completely and clean everything up.
So I ask you Supra owners, is there any type of wax or something similar that I could apply to the chrome finish after cleaning to slow down the pitting and chipping of the chrome layer?
Look forward to learning a lot on here!
