Jeff and all;
Well no pics of the glorious Hayman's today, but there is an excellent reason.
Dana is aware that I used to own an antique clock shop, and that I've done 'a lot' of metal cleaning. We chatted Wednesday, and he asked if I could clean up the badges, as they are solid brass, and kind of nasty with old paint and gunk.
He also thought it would be nice if I documented the cleaning process, to go along with Jeff's magnificent restore work, so I will. Actually, I've already done the majority of it, got some pix, and will be posting the timeline results over the weekend.
Jeff: I'm certainly not trying to hijack your thread. There is a considerable difference in what I will be doing, and what you did with your excellent craftsmanship. No comparison at all. Those shells are stunning!
