Has Ebay feedback gone the way of the Dinosaur?

Loading...

If a transaction goes well I leave positive feedback. It doesn't matter if the other guy leaves it or not. I know I'm keeping my side of the street clean and you can't control what the other person is going to do, so I leave it at that.

From ARCHxANGEL

So I don't so much sell on Ebay, actually don't think I ever have. But every so often I do come across something I need or want to buy. Recently though I just have not gotten feedback from anyone. I always leave feedback when my item arrives. I shouldn't have to ask for the same. Years ago I didn't even think about it, people just did it. Does no one care? If that's the case I won't leave any either. Why boost someone else if they can't do the same for me. Maybe I'm just sore because the last 5 transactions were smooth buy it now or best offer and not one positive feedback from any seller.

I've often noticed it in my purchased items list. It's annoying when you send a positive feedback and they don't return the kind words.I just ignore it now. Better no feedback than negative feedback. I always get good feedback when I buy from Germany. I think they must be super polite people there.

Everything on Ebay has gone the way of the dinosaur: Respect, fairness, politeness, fun, honesty, profits…Etc, etc, etc

Only this week I had 5 sales canceled one hour after completed (another scam I guess). Lowballing, Shillbidding, buyers keeping stuff for free, Asking for refunds with no real cause because Ebay will ALWAYS side with them. Listings buried under tons and tons of chinese dropshipper crap, etc, etc…I think Ebay is pretty much dead.

I am new on ebay, last 9 months, and I sell things.I always give positive feedback immediatly after payment.Since USPS don't give info for tracking for some countries, mine included, it is very important to me that buyer let me know item arrived. But unfortunately large number of buyers don't send that info to me back, not mail not feedback

I tried to leave negative feedback on a purchase that was not as described - to warn other buyers, and Ebay told me I had to wait seven days and try to work out the problem with the seller. The seller then refunded my Paypal payment and CANCELLED the sale so I could not leave feedback. Very crooked way of doing business.
