Yeah, I've been using the Ludwig style ones without issue. Even the Camco grommets sometimes slightly covered the lettering. And if they're late Oaklawn, Chanute or LA, they should be brass grommets.

Run a quick google search for "shelf pin sleeves". 1/4" i.d. is the most common size but they are available in many, many sizes at almost any hardware store in chrome, brass and nickel. I have used them in the past to replace the narrower grommets on old Premiers. Good luck.

Has anyone tried these from st drums in Germany? Just wondering if these would work since the outside flange is very narrow. They have various lengths. I've used these on my phonic drums and they are direct replacements for Sonor.
