GRETSCH ROUND BADGE WHITE MARINE PEARL 3 PIECE KIT! 13, 16, 22 1960's! Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Hey there and thanks for taking a look. I'm selling my Gretsch 1960's White Marine Pearl 3 piece drum kit. The sizes are 9x13, 16x16 and 14x22. I am a player, not a collector so I really don't have much insight in to the history of this kit. I purchased it off ebay about a year and a half ago and have only used it in my studio since. The wrap has very little yellowing to it except for on the bass drum hoops, which originally led me to believe that the wrap was changed out in the past however I was assured several times by the person I bought it from that it was original. Looking at some of the glue near the bearing edges and seams, it does look very aged. It is in really incredible condition for being 50+ years old. The only main issue is on the 16 inch floor tom where a chunk of the wrap has come off in a chunk. I'm guessing this would be easily repairable if you could get your hands on a piece of WMP wrap that matched. I also have the tom mount, cymbal arm and original bags/cases for the kit which I'll include as well as the Tama road pro snare stand pictured if the buyer wants it. The sound is unreal, perfectly aged and the kick drums has a ton of balls...I love it and hate to see it go. The inside of the drums has the silver sealing on the and this doesn't look to be any cracking, denting or issues with the bearing edges or interior of the drums. Please feel free to call me with any questions and or email me directly. I am new to this site but I'll attach a link to the kit posted on ebay and you can see I have excellent long term feedback on ebay. I am looking to get $950 for it and we can arranged shipping costs depending on the buyers location. Thanks so much for looking! You can look at my Flickr page for more pictures of the kit our I can email you them directly, just let me know.

Hey everyone...I have had a lot of questions on this kit and have come to find from a lot people who are collectors and that I have sent pictures to that this is an original wrap. The kit did sell to someone on eBay but the buyer has backed out of the sale so it is still for sale at $800 plus shipping. I would work more on that number for someone who wanted to buy privately rather then through eBay because of the fee's associated...obviously we would still do PayPal as payment for security. I guess I would split it up for the right price but I'd rather not because of the fact that everything is all original, no extra holes or anything. I'd really like to keep it as a "set". If anyone has questions please feel free to call me. It is all boxed up and really to ship!

G. DIDN'T do a lot of WMP in the 60's,so that makes these well worth the price!

YES!!!

He shoots ... He SCORES!!!

Glad it worked out for you. Stick around here. We are a good bunch ... sometimes. You will learn some cool stuff and maybe even get invited to the annual Summer Drum Jams and Jellies held at Kevins and VM2K's pads. Looking forward to this years festivities. My Mayhaw Jelly should have taken it last year, were it not for that crybaby Curotto whining about his uber special California winter grapes used in his Purple Snare Smash Jelly. It was good, but I don't think it came close to my Mayhaw. This year, I'm owning that competition.
