Gretsch Round Badge, Gold sparkle kit

Could work.

In my experience it invites lowballs.

That kit is very nice, you shouldn't have any trouble selling it.

I'll chime in because I like chiming in. I can't sell sh*&^%T these days on Craigslist, Ebay or this Forum. Nobody's buying unless they can get it for "dick"

All people want is me to email pictures. I price all my well kept drums and accessories very reasonable. It's a buyers market and the recession is still "emotionally effecting" people. Additionally, everyone's wife is threatening them with a divorce if they bring "one more god damn drum into this house, I don't give a sh&*^t about a round badge!!!!!!! LOL Clapping Happy2

I agree it is a buyers market and I think it will be this way for good. Disposable income has pretty much been absorbed by the crooks who run this country. There is no "getting better" from this recession. They have seen to it that the gas pump, insurance premiums, vehicles, taxes, food, etc. are sponging every bit of the American working man's "extra" money. Mission accomplished..... The guys who still have some money left know that deals are out there if they wait, and they will and do wait for that deal......This group of guys will be a dwindling number too as they are in an older demographic.

Have a wonderful evening!!!

From drumhack

I have read several threads that lead me to believe that kits being sold from people in the know just don't move well on this forum. When that lady came along that was selling her dads kit, there were buyers coming out of the woodwork making offers. When someone posts a kit and uses the drummer lingo and seems to know what he has, there is very little in the way of responses to these kits. You see them for sale, then for trade, then nothing, then back for sale, then end up either kept or on the cyber flea market....LOL. The crowd here, generally speaking, knows what a deal is and knows that deals do come along and patience is not only a virtue, but more money in their wallets. This is all speculative but I believe it to be true. I have read every for sale thread since I joined this site and base my theories on what I have read. I honestly believe the best way to sell something on here is to get a brand new ID and pose as a newbie who hasn't a clue. You will get many more responses that way. Set your price naively high and allow the "pros" to talk you down. Have your acceptable price in mind and allow them to talk you to that number then pull the trigger. I honestly believe that allowing someone to feel like they are beating you in a deal triggers ingrained instincts for them to pounce, especially the ones who wait for these types of ads. Appearing desperate is also a bonus. At the end of the day, what do you care as long as you are getting what you want for your kit, and getting it gone. At the very least, you will get more potential buyers, I am positive of this. Just my twisted view on things, as usual, and good luck with your sale!!toodlesdrumhack The Bandx-mas2Toilet:confused:Jump For Joy

Laser pinpoint precision, And my bud drumhack has once again nailed it, I have almost never been able to move one thing on this forum. In fact I tried to sale a very nice slingerland marcher for $65.00.No Interest, then tried to sale the shell and the zoomatic separately not one Inquiry.

I've now torn it down Into parts and have sold two pieces for $75.00 and still have most the parts left to sale! I won't waste my time any longer trying to sale them here. Not bitter or hostile, just as DrumHack has stated the obvious! Clapping Happy2

The people on this sight who have the money to buy only want it if it is in pretty near perfect condition. I have sold lots of bits and pieces here, even my old Slingy kit, but that took a whole lot of patience!

Lucky,in the short period I have been active on here, I have sold a lot of parts also .

Thanks Poppy,Kona,Ryan,Kevins,FatherTime,Ringo and whoever else I have forgot!

Could barely sell a thing on DFO!

Too many people on that site also.....

If you try to play "catch up" with the posts after being away for a few days on there, you might as well plan on spending 1-2 hrs reading ,just to get back into the loop.

for me it all down to the price. selling isn't the issue, it's the price.

i realize that the economy affects the averages prices of things but you can easily sell anything you want.

i can easily sell all my drum gear right now for a nickel and have no problem doing it but that's much less then i'm willing to take.

i think the best way to do it is to put it at a price that you feel comfortable getting for it and reflects the market value. maybe even a little bit higher. if you be patient for a while then maybe someone will buy for your asking price.

after a while of that you can either lower the price or start considering other offers that you got.

if none of the offers make you feel comfortable and you don't need the money at the time then i would just hang onto what i was trying to sell and try again at a later time.

so if you have something that does sell then you can either give it more time, lower the price, or just keep it. that's the name of the game. it is for me anyways.
