I've got four snare drums but only two drumkits. Doesn't make sense to me to have extra stuff right now, so here's a few nice snares for what I consider very fair prices...

Gretsch RB 5x14 in sky blue pearl (I think that's what they call it). Great classic sound. Someone switched out the original strainer and butt for a 60s Ludwig one. I can't tell if it's just me, but it seems like they put it on kind of "crooked", like not straight up and down. In any case, it works just fine. Original holes are still there and if I was going to keep it I'd get original parts and install them.

This snare also has the original single flanged hoops with claws which is very cool. Hoops are slightly out of round but definitely still do the trick, and look great.

$200 + ship for this one.

Gretsch RB 5x14 in great WMP. Unoriginal snare mechanism, but does the trick really well. This snare embodies the dry, warm Gretsch sound. Super super crisp articulation. I use this one regularly in an amplified band and every stroke cuts through like a knife without being harsh or ringy.

$285 + ship

Trixon 5x14 in nicely yellowed WMP. This one has looks that kill, and a really neat parallel snare mechanism. Super high quality German design. The sound is articulate yet "soft", as close to "buttery" in a snare as I've come to. An absolute killer with brushes.

$275 + ship.

I can send pics to anyone seriously interested. PM me, or email to kevin_romain@hotmail.com.

Might be interested in trades for Agops or pre-split Isties. I'm also looking for a 20" Spizz.
