Gretsch RB restoration parts wanted

Loading...

Hi

I'm looking for any of the following for a 60s maple natural finish restoration where the bottom lugs and rims were removed:

- 4 Floor tom legs (for an 18" tom converted to a bass)

- 4 T-bolts to secure the legs to the leg mounts (I have mounts)

- 13" (6lug) die cast rim

- 16" (8 lug) die cast rim

- Maple Bass 18" Hoop

-8 large lugs for FT

-6 small tom lugs

- 8 lug 18" Hoop (threads have said these would not be diecast and -possibly slingerland would work)

- Microsensitive strainer

- 4 point adjusting butt end for strainer

And of course a set of round badges which were stripped

Please PM if you have any of the above for sale, I also have a bunch of Slingerland parts to trade.

By the way does anyone know the if there is a stain to use on a maple natural finish for spot fixes and the clear coat product that works best if I take the route of light sanding and re-sealing the shells?

Thanks guys

-K

What condition do you need the hoops in? Why I ask...seems like LOTS of G.hoops I see...they are kind of rough...like their plating was bad or something...or..just used a lot!

..I'm pretty sure I have a 13" Gretsch...poss a 16...will need to check..but can do so by end of today....

I have a very nice Slingerland 18!

I have 2 Gretsch FT legs...but they are early 70's I think...has around 4" of solid knurl at the top...not the usual 5 or 7 small bands of knurl

Will have to dig for lugs...think I still have some of those...not sure...

I haven't cleaned off the rims I have yet, but I think they're in very good condition so would be looking for that level. Not trying to get this to collectors grade.

Thanks for checking, let me know what all you find! Attaching some pics.

OK..looked in 1 place......no small lugs..but I have 8 nice large ones!

also,1/2 of the 4 point butt...mine is the upper 1/2..with tension knob...

I will dig thru my hoops in a few hours...

You need tension rods too,right?..Should have some of those....

Can you post a pic of one of each length? As they would vary them over time....

Please put a metal ruler or yardstick next to one...starting at the collar (flared out part).

Oh,I also have the diamond plate that goes on the mounted tom.

Some PARTIAL rails,..but they are pretty rough looking......chrome flaking etc...

Good call, I will def need tension rods. I'll have to take pics later tonight.

I have what is probably a Slingerland diamond plate, not sure if they are the same, was going to check the line up. There's no holes for a rail since its a converted floor tom so don't think I'll need one of those.

Ahh! The shorter rods are wrong...

see the 4 little raised area "Blips" on the side of the head of it,and not on the longer ones?

Should NOT have them.....I will check tomorrow on the long and short ones....

How many of each?

......................................................................................................................

Dug around some more...

I do have a real clean 18" Sling 8 hole...actually have 2...but one is nicer then the other...

3 pairs of 13" Gretsch...ranging from Ex to just Fair to Good....

Only 1 pair of Gretsch 16" hoops..8 hole...very even light pitting on them......1 nicer then the other.....

PM me please.....thanks

PS...your Sling diamond plate should fit just fine.....
