Gretsch micro-sensitive strainer help needed

Hi

Asking a big favour here.

Any chance you could plz tell me

1. The length & diameter of the chrome spring cover tube on a Gretsch micro-sensitive strainer.

2.Does the chrome cover serve any purpose?

3.How does it fix to the throw side of the strainer.

Mines missing so need to cut a new one.Thanks in advance.Regards Lawrence

Common problem with these. Watch video from this thread...great repair to get that throw working like it should, actually makes a great throw off .... when it's not broken.
