I have a late round badge era Gretsch COB snare drum that was originally equipped with a Lightning throw off (now long gone). I've been trying to find a period correct one. The couple I've stumbled across on Ebay were either in questionable condition or way overpriced. However, I came across someone that makes a reproduction that looks nice and is readily available. It differs slightly from the original design in that the throw off lever is situated on the top/center of the unit. The original has the lever off to the left side. The center lever design is, I think, pretty similar to the ones on Gretsch's current snare drums. Does anyone know if the hole patterns are all the same and would they be interchangeable on a Gretsch drum from any era? Thanks.

you can buy Gretsch branded ones from Explorers Percussion, but theyare expensive. The holes should match.
