Gretsch 70's Factory Wrap Glue - Sand or Solvent?

From lrcollura

Beautiful job ! where did u get that turquise wrap ?

It's the turquoise glass glitter from Precision. Cost around $500 for the whole kit's worth. I paid $250 for the shells, so I felt justified in spending a lot on a luxury wrap.

I want to go with solid gloss yellow, a la Tony Williams, but have had trouble finding any. Looks like the regular supplier discontinued it and retailers have run out. A few days ago Jammin' Sam told me he was gonna get a new crop in, he's the first place that actually told me they'd have some.

Anyone know other sources for gloss yellow wrap? Sources that actually have it in stock, that is.

The only other option is u have is if your shells are prepared real good you can have them painted. I was very fourtunate to have an auto body shop do this for me.

I did all the work sanding / filling and preparing for paint. The paint was about 125.00 and they charged me 50 bucks a drum for the labor to spray them when the boss wasn't looking. LOL !!!!!

Here is the rest of them....... I will start a separate post to see if anyone can tell which ones were not painted & are the original finish.
