Gibraltar Stealth Mounting Systems

Okay- more drum BLASPHEMY from me; after all, sacred cows make GREAT hamburger...

I am getting some of those mini racks- I want a smaller footprint onstage, fewer chances of the lead guitar kicking over my cymbals. I want a lighter weight case.

Anyone here have that stuff?

You already use RIMS mounts right? that is blasphemous enough hahaha kidding of course I use them too.

... BUT I've always thought that a rack system would be too much of a hassle to assemble at a gig. Plus I hate how they look so I have never used one

I have to say the pics I've seen of the Stealth system look more functional and less intrusive to the looks of the drums than any other rack system.

Very common on e-drums. I have a hybrid rack - mostly Roland, but some Gibraltar.

Gibraltar has got some slick items in thier hardware line and makes good racks. Most user I know are pleased with it, but the clamp fittings aren't really setup for internal cable routing, which is about the only knock I've heard about their stuff from other e-drummers.

I used to use a rack extensively. If set up correctly, they set up a LOT quicker with a set-up consistency second to none. But that was when I was rocking a ten piece with twelve cymbals and a Drum Kat.

I struggled with repeatability in my four piece kit with three (okay- five, counting hi hat) cymbals kit. I have decided that enough is enough!!! Also, I actually think that with the flatter look somewhat reminiscent of flat-based stands, the stealth racks could actually look better with vintage drums than a bunch of double-braced stands.

Yeah, when I was an e-drummer exclusively (tsk tsk), I used a Pearl rack. I wasn't all that concerned with internal cable routing, but that's just me.

I like the Gibraltar stuff 'cos it's just plain sturdy- no funny business here. With the memory locks properly fitted, you can tear down and set up your kit in fifteen minutes or less!!!!

Yeah, I wanted the simplicity of a rack with a cleaner and more spartan look that flat-based stands give. The stealth system is nice for one-up and one or two-down drum kit configurations. I will give a full review soon.
