Anyone have any recommendations on cleaning this wrap? Can you even clean this wrap? This one could use a little cleaning.

I am not seeing Blue Satin Flame Pearl show up until the 67 catalog. Seems that they would have had badges by then? (I actually dont see a break in badges according to the info on the forum). Can anyone explain this further to me? My floor tom has no vent hole at all.

Thanks!

What size is it? I have a 20" slingy floor tom without a grommet hole, but the muffler is a lot different. My muffler has 3 holes that are horizontal like this >>>>>>http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/hardware/slingerland/slingerland_capri_pearl.html

Hi Ed,

The Slingerland Book by Rob Cook has the Satin Flame finishes being offered from 1964-1977. Your tom appears to have the push button tom legs which were offered from 1958-1964. Badges werent added on the toms until the mid to late 60's. As for the port hole, I have a 12" '64 with no badge and no port hole. Not sure how common having a port hole was on the pre-badge floor toms though. Based on this info, I would guess you have '64 floor tom there. However, in looking at that interior pic you posted, if I squint my eyes hard enough and mentally remove the "P" stamped over the date, I can maybe convince myself that I see April '65. Either way, I think you are looking at a pre-badge, early to mid-60's floor tom.

Hope this helps,

James

I dont know what yr mine is. The drum hardware section here indicates its around 1958 because of the muffler. Mine has Rogers swivomatic legs and hardware.

A friend of mine has a rogers 20 and I wanted one. I found it on ebay as a rogers, but after i got it and joind this forum I found out it was actually a slingy. Its massive and takes up a lot of room.

I'd like to know What yrs did they used this type of muffler?
