Hi Everyone; It's been a while since last posted. Hope you all are doing well. Well In my last post I mentioned that I was working on a room in the house that was going to be the new home for my vintage Hoshino kit. I finally finished and with the help of my wife decorating the room with some of her vintage 70s collection it turned out pretty cool and is a lot of fun. Plus She was really happy to see the drums finally move out of our bedroom. I worked pretty hard on it and if I could please beg your indulgence to post some picks to show it off a little and hear back what you think? would be really great. Thanks everyone! Scott

Very cool room! You have all the 70s fixin's! I like you rkit too.....like the flat based stands, and the lugs - pre-curser to the Tamas. What kind of wood is it? Those Paiste 302 HHs are alot better than most people think aren't they? I like the Moby Dick pic with the Bonzo hat right there! Very cool room!

Hi J; Thank you Bro. The inside shells are maple, pretty beefy no re-rings. The wrap is natural wood with a thick coat of polyurethane. I think it is some type of exotic wood that kind resemble oak. I'm the 2nd owner of the kit, the original owner told me he bought it new in the late 70s or early 80s. He took very good care of it for all those years. Now I have owned it for a little over a year. The 302 HHs are ok for messing around with and don't sound to bad. I have some orphan hats lying around and I keep saying one of these days Im going to try and match up. I also have a Camber ride and crash, the ride is not that bad but the crash is terrible. Ive been looking for a while to up grade them all. But you know how it goes every time I come across something either it's cracked or my funds are low. That is really cool that you picked up on the Moby Dick pic and the Bonzo hat.
